Ram Signs Rebuilds Sign for Silco Theater in Silver City, NM

Ram Signs Rebuilds Sign for Silco Theater in Silver City, NM

When the small town of Silver City in New Mexico received a grant to have the sign on their historic downtown theater, the Silco Theater, rebuilt, Ram Studios Signs in Farmington were sought out for the job. Measuring 60 feet long and requiring custom made neon components, building the Silco Theater sign required expertise and dedication, especially since this sign was constructed in only 2 weeks. A project of this scale can be expected to take up to 6 weeks for completion, and to help the town of Silver City meet the requirements of the grant received for the sign, Ram Signs worked double time to make this project come to life for the historic Silco Theater.

Constructed to mimic the original lighted sign, which adorned this theater when it was first established in 1923, the sign for Silco Theater was constructed with LED base lighting, custom made lighted neon components, and an old fashioned marquee. Adding the same flair seen in the original sign, the Ram Studios Signs team in Farmington, NM made sure to maintain all the historical elegance of the former Silco Theater sign. For all of this work, the creative minds at Ram Signs only had a single black and white photo of the original Silco Theater sign to work from.

Ram Signs not only had the expertise needed to construct a sign of this quality, size, and scope, but the Ram Signs team personally accompanied the sign to Silco Theater for the installation. The 60-foot sign made the journey in three separate pieces, and the team was down in Silver City for a week installing this newly built historic sign for Silco Theater. The Ram Signs teams’ dedication to constructing and installing the Silco Theater sign earned them personal invitations to the grand opening of the historical Silco Theater.
